How to BEAT the world's "timeclock" #quickread

Can I be honest? Who created this time clock that the world so desperately tries to put us on?! The American dream has many bound to this notion that your life must look a certain way in different stages of life. You are expected to go to college, meet your spouse, graduate, get married, buy your dream house, get that perfect puppy and start having beautiful babies all by this age. But, what if that isn't your life, is that really a catastrophe? If you are still single at a certain age it's possible you may have been looked at like something was wrong with you. Or if you are married and have been married for a few years, people begin to ask when will you start a family. It's like people are never satisfied. It seems like no matter where you are in life, someone won't be happy. That is why we must know who's we are and the journey God has placed us in. Everyone has a different path that was set out before the foundation of this Earth. Your story may not be like hers and that IS okay!

If you aren't where the world "thinks" you should be in life, you are fine. Don't allow what you see going in other's lives rush you. I'm pretty sure you have seen the meme "Don't let the internet rush you" floating around and that has to be one of the realest memes. It can be so easy to get caught up in what we see, primarily on the internet. What goes on in your life is between you and God. He is the one who established every little detail of your life. And those steps weren't based on what the world thought was the right thing. Remember His ways are higher. (Isaiah 55:8-9) Your identity is not found in what the world thinks. It is found in the one who created you. Where you are right now is where He desires for you to be. You are not behind if your life doesn't look like theirs.

If you feel like you should be further in life, go to God and ask Him to help you to remember the plan He has for your life. If we aren't careful we will loose focus on what God is doing in our life, because we are concerned about someone else's. When we are reminded of the great plans that God has for our lives, we will see that are steps are not only ordered by Him, but are promising. I get it, when you see others that have what you desire it can be easy to get distracted. But, just remember that God is not a respecter of persons and that he is well aware of what He is doing in YOUR life. What is for you, is for YOU!

Romans 12:2 tells us to not copy or conform to the ways of this world. But to let God transform our way of thinking so that we will know what HIS will for our life is. Change those thoughts that may come in your mind that try to get you to feel sorry for yourself. Those thoughts that make you feel a certain type of way when you look at your life. You are where you are for a reason, so trust that!

Do you boo!

As always stay beautiful inside & out
